A perfect formula for, perhaps, a perfect outreach:
-Take one (1) part volunteer pushing a cart powering a fog machine, strobe light, and boombox blasting 80′s rock. -Add four (4) parts young volunteers fruity enough to go around bar-saturated Pacific Beach, San Diego, CA one Saturday night after midnight dressed as 80′s rockers spoofing their own hair band music video. -Hand out 40 spray paint-stenciled, pocket-sized New Testaments, referred to as “Daggers”, to a mobbed party scene, and voila! Dagger Project madness!Our Daggers were given out to 40 young, fun-lovin’ barhoppers in under 10 minutes. We walked less than three block before all of our Daggers were gone. A photo insert inside each Dagger explained the outreach and Scripture reference, likely helping a few partiers recall hazy details from the night before.
